Linden Cowl and Infinity Scarf

Hello Lovelies!

Anyone still catching their breath from 2021? I am! I’m not sure exactly how we got to mid January already but I imagine that it has a little to do with the craziness of being a home owner!

Between attic rain, a hole in my ceiling and my refrigerator dying, it has been a wild ride over here! Anyone else try to buy an appliance during all this covid stuff? Let me tell you, that was not the most fun experience… My poor husband spent all Sunday trying to find a refrigerator that we could purchase and take home the same day, proved to be a much biggere adventure than he intended it to be. I honestly felt terrible for him.

It did all work out in the end though, we have a refrigerator (even though it doesn’t match my other appliances) and nothing spoiled. I take that as a win!

Getting ready for cooler weather again!

We have had a really nice couple of weeks when it comes to weather and we have really enjoyed but here in Alberta, we know the warmer winter weather is never here to stay. We are definitely looking at some colder temperatures over the next few days, so this pattern had perfect timing.

Made By Amber

The Linden Cowl and Scarf pattern works up quickly and has the most beautiful texture! I love it so much, I want to create an entire Linden line! I am already on my way with the cowl, infinity scarf, cup cozy and card keychain! I have a few other items in mind for this line as well!

I think I just love how endless the colour combinations are and how simple this pattern is to do! Not to mention how incredibly stunning this texture is!

What items would you like to see added to the Linden Collection?

I really love quick makes, it’s almost instant gratification and I would consider this a quick make as the cowl can be made in under 2 hours. Pop on your favourite show or podcast and you will be finished your Linden Cowl or Infinity Scarf in no time at all!

PATTERN : Linden Cowl and Infinity Scarf

What you need:
8 mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge).

Any 5 weight yarn.  I used Charisma (approx. 180 yards for the cowl and 320 yards for the infinity scarf)

Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors

Gauge:

First 3 rows by 5 STS = 2 in x 2 in square

Stitches you will be working with:

CH: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
BLO: Back Loop Only
SLST: Slip Stitch
STS: Stitches
SK: Skip
SP: Space

Notes:  Written in US terminology.  All CH 1 do not count as a stitch.  If you are having trouble matching the gauge, you may need to go up or down a hook size. You can use any 5-weight yarn. You do not have to cut your yarn when switching between main colour and accent colour. You can carry the yarn up on the inside of your work. To increase your length, make sure your stitches are a multiple of 2.
