Crossroads Wristlet Strap

Hello Lovelies!!!

It is warming up here in Alberta and I am so excited about that!!! Though, mother nature can’t seem to get it together. One day we were outside, I got my first sunburn of the year and the next day there was snow and we wore winter jackets and hats.

This is typical of Alberta, so we learn to expect it!

It was a really dry winter so I am glad we got a little bit of moisture and hopefully prevent possible fires. This is my favourite time of year. I love watching the leaves come back on the trees and flowers blooming. Everything just bursts with life! There is something so wonderous about it.

Are you ready for Spring and Summer?

This past Wednesday was my birthday and I love celebrating so I want to leave a little treat right here for all you lovely people who continue to support me.

Now that the weather is warming up, it makes me want to make all the fun, quick make projects and I have so many ideas but not enough hands or time to make them all. I’ll make as many as I can though. Isn’t that always the issue though? I am really excited about some of these ideas and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

This week, I am bringing a super quick wristlet strap to attach to your keys or clutch!

The Crossroads Wristlet Strap works up in less than 15 minutes and they would make great items for market prep.

It would make a great gift as well!

Do you prefer quick make projects?

I am really excited to show you what I have coming up over the next few months!

Made By Debbie

As always, I am opening to hear about the ideas you guys would like to see me create.  I do all this for you so I want to make sure I am creating content that you love and enjoy.  Don’t be shy and come chat with me!

PATTERN : Crossroads Wristlet Strap

What you need:
4.5 mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge).

DK weight (3) yarn.  I used hand dyed cotton/wool blend yarn from Avery Lane Creations (approx. 15 yards)

1 inch D-ring
1 inch lobster claw
Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors

Gauge:
5 SC x 5 Rows = 1 inch square

Stitches you will be working with:

CH: Chain

CSC: Crossed Single Crochet: skip next ST, SC in next ST, then SC in the skipped ST.

SC: Single Crochet
ST(S): Stitch(es)

Notes:  Written in US terminology.  All CH 1 do not count as a stitch.  If you are having trouble matching the gauge, you may need to go up or down a hook size.  You can make this strap as long or as short as you want. Just make sure you have an even number of STS.

Pattern : 4.5 mm hook

CH 51

Row 1 : SC in the 2nd CH from the hook, HDC in next 49 STS, turn. (50 STS)

Row 2 : CH 1, SC in next 2 STS, CSC over next 46 STS, SC in last 2 STS, turn. (50 STS)

Row 3 : CH 1, SC in each ST across, turn. (50 STS)

Row 4 : CH 1, SC in next 2 STS, CSC over next 46 STS, SC in last 2 STS, turn. (50 STS)

Row 5 : CH 1, SC in each ST across. (50 STS)

Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew ends of your wristlet together.

Attach your lobster claw to your D-ring and insert the D-ring in between the two ends of the wristlet. Using the long tail, whip stitch both ends of your wristlet together then working on the other side of your D-ring, sew from one end to the other to secure the D-ring. Weave in all ends.

There you have it!
