Linden Bookmark

Oh, hey lovelies!!

I can hardly believe it is almost the end of the school year for my boys and I just can’t wait for them to be done. My oldest son is doing the Provincial Achievement tests for grade 6 and this has been a bit of an emotional process.

He has some test anxiety and is just a little overwhelmed with trying to remember 10 months of math for one test. His dad and I have been reassuring him and telling him, we only want him to try his best along with giving him some tips for testing. I know he finds it comforting that we will not be upset with his testing outcome and that it is all going to be okay.

My youngest is sick for the billionth time this year and it gives me serious anxiety that he is missing so much school. He is in grade 2 and his teacher is wonderful about getting him caught up when he comes back. So, we are really looking forward to summer break.

What's something you are excited to do this summer?

I think the thing I am most excited about, not making ANY school lunches!! Seriously, I can’t be the only one excited about this!! I am counting down the days… 7 days to go!!

Only 7 more school lunches to go and I’m done until next year!!!! Woohooo!!!

Maybe I am being a little over dramatic but I am truly excited about this!! I just cant wait! Both of my children have worked incredibly hard this year and I’m so excited to celebrate their success and all their hard work. We have so many plans and wishes to fulfil this summer and I plan to make as many of them happen as I possible can.

Tassel

Step 1: Cut a piece of cardboard 2.5 inches tall.

Step 2: Cut a piece of yarn 12 inches long and fold it in half. Lay it horizontally across your cardboard.

Step 3: Using your skein of yarn, start wrapping your yarn vertically around the cardboard and 12-inch strand of yarn. You will wrap your yarn around 30 times. See photo 1.

Step 4: Tie your folded 12-inch strand of yarn and secure the yarn you wrapped around the cardboard. See photo 2.

Step 5: Cut the yarn at the bottom of your cardboard on the opposite of where you tied your folded 12-inch strand of yarn.

Step 6: Using the loose ends of your 12-inch strand and sew your tassel to the top middle of your bookmark. Weave in ends.
